UNILAG JUPEB Admission Form 2023/2024: Admissions form for the 2023/2024 academic year of the UNILAG JUPEB Programme is now online for interested candidates to apply before the deadline. The general public is by this publication informed that the University of Lagos (UNILAG) School of Foundation Studies has announced the commencement of sales of forms for its JUPEB programme for the 2023/2024 session. Successful candidates will be admitted to the UNILAG JUPEB programme and those who successfully pass the JUPEB examination will be eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level of the Degree Programmes of UNILAG through JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board), or admission into the University of Bedfordshire, University of Central Lancashire, University of the West of England, De Montfort University, Leicester, University of Birmingham, (UK) and Soochow University, ChinaThe programme involves an intensive one-year syllabus covering subject combinations relevant to various courses of study.

UNILAG JUPEB Programme Overview

It is worth knowing that the UNILAG JUPEB Programme is an intensive programme that spans through one-year. Unfortunately, it doesn’t accept visually impaired persons. It gives successful candidates Direct Entry admission into the 200 Level of the Degree Programmes of the UNILAG or its affiliates through JAMB. Students who didn’t reach the JAMB cut-off mark this year can apply. Meanwhile, admission into the JUPEB programme is not a guarantee that you will be given admission into the University if you didn’t fulfil all the programme requirements. Requirements for UNILAG JUPEB (Foundation Programme) Admission

Candidates interested in the UNILAG JUPEB programme admission must possess and fulfil all the requirements of the programme as listed below:

  1. A minimum of FIVE credits (English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects) obtained in one sitting at the SSCE/WASSC, GCE/O/L, NECO with results obtained before registration.
  2. University of Lagos(UNILAG) has zero tolerance for drug abuse, sexual harassment, examination malpractice and other anti-social behaviour.
  3. All admitted students will undergo compulsory medical tests.

How to Apply for UNILAG JUPEB (Foundation) Admission

Application for the UNILAG JUPEB Programme Admission is done online on the University portal. Meanwhile, the university has a special support programme for the children of the staff of the university. In this section, you shall learn how to apply for the programme whether you are a biological child of staff of the university or not.

  • From your favourite web browser head over to the University of Lagos official website (www.unilag.edu.ng) or applications.unilag.edu.ng.
  • When the site loads completely, look for the admission’ menu, and click on the School of Foundation Studies.
  • Go through the information on subject combinations relevant to your proposed choice of course of study for Direct Entry admission.
  • Review the subject combinations relevant to your desired course of study for Direct Entry admission. Note that there have been changes to the previous combinations.

  • Click the staff biological child link.
  • Provide 5 digit staff ID number.
  • Select the appropriate name on the staff children list to obtain a Payment Reference Number (PRN).

UNILAG JUPEB Admission Notable Dates

This section talks about the application starting date, closing date, examination date and more.

Starting Date

The UNILAG JUPEB admission application starting date is Monday, June 12, 2023. Interested candidates are advised to visit the university’s portal to apply.

Closing Date

All the application process closes at 11:59 PM on Friday, August 11, 2023.

Entrance Examination Date

The entrance examination will take place on Saturday, 19, August 2023 at the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) in the University of Lagos. Ensure to go with your pass card and be there on time.

Mode of Examination

The mode of examination will be Computer-Based Testing (CBT) with multiple-choice questions.

  • The examination consists of four subjects: Mathematics and English Language (20 questions each), as well as three other relevant subjects chosen by the candidate (15 questions each), totalling 85 questions.
  • Candidates who have Mathematics as one of their subject combinations must select Further Mathematics as one of the subjects in the entrance examination combination.
  • All questions must be answered within a one-hour time frame.

Results and merit admission will be released on www.unilag.edu.ng. Please note that admission into undergraduate programmes is based on the approved capacity for each programme and does not always guarantee a seat in the preferred course of choice.

The University reserves the right to conduct or adopt other measures of testing for courses where there are more successful candidates than the approved capacity. The University of Lagos maintains a zero-tolerance policy for drug abuse, sexual harassment, cultism, cybercrime, examination misconduct, indecent dressing, and other anti-social behaviour.
