The mobilization of graduates to serve the country is done yearly by the board of directors of NYSC. When new graduates are released from the different tertiary institutions across Nigeria, the NYSC board commences the mobilization of candidates who are qualified for service as listed on the candidate’s institution’s senate list. However, candidates listed on the senate list must declare interest in serving the father’s land via NYSC online registration or decline the offer. Alternatively, candidates can request for NYSC exemption letter. Candidates will not be mobilised if no one files the form. This simply shows that no one is interested in serving the country if it happens.

Latest News on NYSC Registration
Following the NYSC online registration of new candidates, the board held a meeting to discuss the way forward for the members. This single act shows that the body conducting and overseeing this activity is hell-bent on making it easy for prospective candidates.
Therefore, we previously wrote an article on the NECO news updates to also notify the general public of the recent happening in the education examination board.
Furthermore, on the NYSC registration update, the board has agreed that the registration of new candidates will commence on 29th January 2024.
The date above is when the portal will open for candidates of the 2024/2025 academic session to register.
However, after the registration closes, the mobilization of serving members will commence.
Bear in mind that the mobilization of new service members happens in batches from A to C and streams 1 to 2. This makes it easier for a reduced number of members to be sent to the camp and for service thereby making the system more flexible and helping the members to not suffocate due to population.
