The Official JAMB portal for students to apply for JAMB, login, and check results and admission status is always open for interested candidates. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the Nigerian official tertiary institution entrance examination governing body that conducts entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for candidates interested in gaining admission into approved Nigerian universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and private mono-technics. For any candidate to qualify to sit for JAMB UTME, such candidate must have obtained the West Africa Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) conducted yearly by the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, or its equivalent, National Examination Council (NECO), Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). Before now, JAMB UTME was written with paper and pencil under the code name PPT, but now every candidate sitting for JAMB must be prepared to write the examination via computer in the accredited JAMB center. Writing with the computer is codenamed CBT (Computer Based Test) and the centres for the examinations are called CBT centres.

While JAMB was written with paper and pencil, thousands of JAMB centres were scattered around Nigeria including remote areas without telecommunication network coverage but with the adoption of CBT, the approved centres were limited to only a few places with good network coverage, and people and institutions with the capacity to handle the examination according to JAMB standard guidelines. Jamb CBT (Computer Based Test) Centres are the various locations and centres in Nigeria approved by JAMB for the registration of the UTME examination. There are various JAMB CBT centres/locations in the 36 states of Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (Nigeria), FCT.

How to apply for JAMB on the JAMB portal
JAMB UTME is an annual examination conducted every year across the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Therefore, interested candidates must prepare to apply when the portal opens for registration even if it is the year the candidate is taking WAEC or NECO examination or their equivalents. JAMB Login – How to log into your JAMB portal
During the JAMB application, a student account is created for the JAMB applicant with his functional email address and phone number. Once the registration is successful, the applicants are given registration numbers to access their accounts including sitting for the examination, checking jamb results, admission status, jamb cap, etc. To do any of the above, you can log into the JAMB portal by following these procedures.
Procedure 1: Launch any favourite browser of yours and;
- Visit the JAMB result portal efacility via https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ and log in with your email address or JAMB registration number and password. You can read about the JAMB result in efacility here for easier clarification.
- When logged in to your dashboard, look for what you want under the list of services and click it.
Procedure 2: Log in to the JAMB portal to check your result online;
- Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/CheckUTMEResults
- Enter your JAMB registration number, and password in the provided columns
- Click ‘Check My Result’.
- If it is available, the portal will return your results else you will get a notification that your result is not yet available online.
- Predict your JAMB scores and share them with friends. You shall win. That’s my humble wish for you.
How to pass successfully in JAMB UTME this year.
JAMB UTME is no longer as hard as it was before especially for students who actually prepared for the examination. Everything has an act. Study hard, read past questions, practice, and ask teachers. It is that simple. While studying will help you to increase your mental horizon, reading past questions and answers will not only give you insights on how JAMB asks questions but also how to answer them and the confidence to tackle most of the questions that may come your way. Keep practising, that is the secret formula to success. The more you practice, the better you learn. The last is to ask teachers or other students either physically or online here. Because you are not an Island of knowledge, you need to ask questions where you don’t understand. The best people to ask questions are teachers or people with the right experience.
