NDLEA Shortlisted Candidates 2023/2024
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on July 23, 2023, announced the release of the full list of successful candidates. This list is for narcotic officer and narcotic assistant cadre positions and it is available online. The agency released a total of three thousand, eight hundred and seventy-two (3872) names of applicants for this most recent recruitment exercise.
However, if you registered in the recently conducted screening online, then you are eligible to check your name on the already shortlisted candidates. Moreso, this article will show you how to know if your name is among the ones that have been shortlisted. But before we get into that, there are things you must note.
Take Note of the Following:
- All candidates who have been successfully selected must report to their individual designated centres according to their groupings. This must be by the dates assigned to their groups, for subsequent training.
- Superintendent (Supt) Cadre must report on Wednesday 2nd August 2023, by 6 PM while,
- Narcotic Assistant (NA and NASS) Cadre must report on Friday 18th August 2023 by 6 pm.
- Most importantly, all successful candidates who fail to report as stipulated will be disqualified.

- Visit the NDLEA recruitment portal at recruitment.ndlea.gov.ng
- Log in with your email address
- Input your NDLEA Application ID
- Click on Login
- Check the shortlisted candidates’ menu

NDLEA Shortlisted Candidates 2023/2024 Updates
Just as the screening exercise has been completed and candidates, successfully shortlisted. The next update is about successful candidates reporting to their respective centres for subsequent training.
The candidates are advised to come along with the following requirements:
- Original and photocopy of the following credential; print-out of NDLEA online application reference slip and National Identification Number (NIN)
- Writing materials such as pens, pencils, notebooks, and file jackets.
- 4 (four) copies of recent passport photographs with No caps.
- 3 (three) pairs of unmarked white round-neck vests and navy-blue shorts (no stripes)
- Two (2) pairs of black and white socks
- Two (2) white bed sheets and pillowcases
- Two (2) pairs of pure black canvas trainers. Rubber canvas is not acceptable.
- Two (2) white long-sleeve shirts and 2 black trousers
- One (1) blanket (army green or grey colour)
- You can purchase Buckets, cutlasses, and brooms on arrival
- Mosquito net
- Toiletries.
Take Note of the Following:
- They will conduct a pregnancy and drug test during the course of the training
- Candidates who fail to report to their respective centres on time will be automatically disqualified.
- Candidates are to report at their training centre on or before 2nd August 2023
- Training for Narcotic Officers Basic (Cadet) will hold at NDLEA Academy, Kotton Rikus, Jos Plateau State.
- Most importantly, Training for Narcotic Agents/Assistants (Trainees) will hold at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) College of Peace and Disaster Management, KM 4 Babbar-Ruga Batsari Road, Katsina State.
- Also, this training is only for the shortlisted candidates.
