NECO Examination Categories
The NECO examination is conducted twice a year and this is to make it easier for both
private and school candidates to have access to the system.

In the article we tagged above, we outlined the difference between the GCE candidates and the main WAEC or NECO candidates.
Furthermore, the first section of candidates to sit for the NECO examination annually are the major candidates who are the school candidates.
The school examination candidates are those who sat for their examination under a school and usually, they are considered to be the present final year students of the academic session (SS3 students).
Meanwhile, the private examination candidates are those who may have passed the level but for some reason or the other, are back to write their examination. These set of candidates usually register for their examination under a center hence they are called private candidates.
However, both the private and school candidates have equal grounds and rights on the exam board. The results are the same as everything else.

- Fill out the spaces with your accurate examination data (exam year, exam number, pin, serial number, exam type, etc)

However, if for any reason you can’t find your scratch card, you can approach any cyber cafe close to you to purchase another one and use the information on it to access your results.
Bear in mind that the most important data you need to check your result apart from the serial number and pin on the scratch card is your exam number which you must already have from the start of your examination and then the exam year and type.
