The NYSC green card is a term used to refer to the printout of a graduate’s NYSC registration as an indication that they can move on to the next phase in their service preparation and commencement.
The term “green card” in this case, signifies a “go ahead” just like in the traffic light as a way of telling the prospective corps members that they are welcome to the next phase of their journey and their life entirely.

Accessing the NYSC Green Card Portal
Very important, even though the green card is a slip of your NYSC registration, you must make sure to be right from the portal, else it may not be accepted.
Just to be sure, you must not copy your registration success from the homepage to anywhere outside the portal to initiate a printout.
Consequently, immediately after your registration status is successful, you can print your green card just as it is and make sure everything is, in case there is any form of inferiority in the writeup on the printout, initiate it again and make sure you get it right before you can relax.

Checking your NYSC green card is the same as checking your registration status, follow the right procedure for NYSC registration and make sure it is successful then your green card is not an issue.
If you are registering for NYSC by yourself, when you get to the payment section(the NYSC registration fee is about 5,000 to 6,000 Nigeria Naira), complete it and make sure it reflects on your registration form then complete every other process and print your slip.
When you check and are sure that your registration was successful, follow the steps below to print your green card;
- Find the icon on the page requesting if you would like to print out
- Connect your system to a printer
- Indicate that you would like to print out your reregistration lip in the right form then go ahead to press ok
